ITINERARY

Day 1 - Friday, April 01: Group introduction in Seville (D)

Get yourselves to Seville! Our group will gather this evening at 7:00 pm after check in to our boutique hotel (https://www.h10hotels.com/en/seville-hotels/h10-corregidor/rooms), centrally located in the historic centre. We’ll introduce ourselves (or renew old friendships!) over a glass of cava and meet our tour coordinator, David, for dinner and wine at a local, typical Andalucian restaurant.

Day 2 - Saturday, April 02: Walking tour of Seville (B,D)

Enjoy a relaxing breakfast before we head off at 9:30 on a comprehensive walking tour of the historic centre of beautiful Sevilla. We’ll be led by our private official guide to the old Jewish Quarter, the Murillo Gardens, the stunning Plaza de España, the University of Sevilla, and the highlight, the Alcazar. Take the afternoon to have lunch, rest or wander. We’ll be going out together tonight for a genuine Flamenco performance followed by a tapas tour (aka dinner) with wine!

Day 3 - Sunday, April 03: Free day and evening private cooking experience

We’ll have the day free to re-visit some of yesterday’s sights or to explore anew – maybe climb the mushroom! In the early evening, we’ll be getting together for our private cooking experience extraordinaire and, of course, we’ll dine on what we create!

Day 4 - Monday, April 04: Jerez and Cadiz (B)

Road trip! A full day sees our group off in our private coach to Jerez and Cádiz on the south coast. We’ll have a private tour of an equestrian farm and visit Bodegas Tradicion to learn the sherry production process, taste sherry with some nibblies and enjoy an amazing art gallery. In Cádiz, we’ll be exploring the oldest city in Western Europe and have lunch in the city centre.

Day 5 - Tuesday, April 05: Day at leisure (B)

You know I always include a full free day in my itineraries. Today is the day: shop, sightsee, eat and drink, or take a day trip – the train system is excellent!

Day 6 - Wednesday, April 06: Road trip to Ronda and vacinity

Road trip! Another full day: our private mini-coach takes us to the iconic white villages – Pueblos Blancos - and the town of Ronda. We’ll visit Zahara de la Sierra to learn about Spanish olive oil, Grazalema to taste cheese and then have a group lunch, and finally Ronda for a private tour with a local guide. Back at home, pack tonight for tomorrow’s transfer to Granada.

Day 7 - Thursday, April 07: Cordorba and Granada (B,D)

After a leisurely breakfast this morning, we check out and say good-bye to lovely Seville. On our way to Granada by private mini-coach, we will stop in Córdoba to visit the Mezquita, a beautiful mosque/cathedral and World Heritage Site dating back to the 6th century. Lunch here will be on your own, then we’ll head to Granada to check in at our historic hotel in the Albaycin ( https://www.hotelcasa1800granada.com/en/ ) before a group dinner tonight.

Day 8 - Friday, April 08: Granada (B,D)

As early as possible to beat the crowds, we’ll be up to take a private tour of the Alhambra, a palace/fortress originally built in 900 A.D. You will be enthralled by the mosaics and carved stucco decoration at this UNESCO World Heritage Site dominating the Albaycin district of Granada. After the tour, enjoy the rest of the day free.

Day 9 - Saturday, April 09: Granada (B,D)

After breakfast today, our guide will lead us on a panoramic walking tour of Granada visiting the Albaycin and climbing up to San Nicolás for views across to the Alhambra. For our farewell dinner tonight, we’ll dine in a local restaurant and reflect on our wonderful week in Andalucia.

Day 10 - Sunday, April 10: Check out and end of tour

After breakfast, we’ll check out and go our separate ways: home? Madrid? Barcelona? Malaga? Depending on your plans, we may be able to share transportation to the train station or airport.
