ITINERARY

Day 1 - Tuesday, May 09: Arrive at our hotel in Seville (D)

Get yourselves to Seville! Our group will gather this evening at 7:00 pm after check in to our boutique hotel (https://www.h10hotels.com/en/seville-hotels/h10-corregidor/rooms), centrally located in the historic centre. We’ll introduce ourselves (or renew old friendships!) over a glass of cava and meet our tour coordinator, David, for dinner and wine at a local, typical Andalucian restaurant.

Day 2 - Wednesday, May 10: Seville (B, tasting,D)

Enjoy a relaxing breakfast before we head off at 9:30 on a comprehensive walking tour of the historic centre of beautiful Sevilla. We’ll be led by our private official guide to the old Jewish Quarter, the Murillo Gardens, the stunning Plaza de España, the University of Sevilla, and the highlight, the Alcazar.
Take the afternoon to have lunch, rest or wander. We’ll be going out together tonight for a genuine Flamenco performance followed by a tapas“tour” (aka dinner) with wine!

Day 3 - Thursday, May 11: Free day in Seville (B, D)

We’ll have the day free to re-visit some of yesterday’s sights or to explore anew – maybe climb the mushroom! In the early evening, we’ll be getting together for our private cooking experience extraordinaire and, of course, we’ll dine on what we create!

Day 4 - Friday, May 12: Jerez and Cadiz (B, tasting, D)

Road trip! A full day sees our group off in our private coach to Jerez and Cádiz on the south coast. We’ll have a private tour of an equestrian farm near Jerez. In Cádiz, we’ll be exploring the oldest city in Western Europe and have lunch at a famous seafood restaurant in the city centre. On the way back to Sevilla, we’ll visit Bodegas Tradicion to learn the sherry production process, taste sherry with some nibblies and enjoy an amazing art gallery.

Day 5 - Saturday, May 13: Day at leisure (B)

You know I always include a full free day in my itineraries. Today is the day: shop, sightsee, eat and drink, or take a day trip – the train system is excellent!

Day 6 - Sunday, May 14: Pueblos Blancos and Ronda

Road trip! Another full day starting at 9:00: our private mini-coach takes us to the iconic white villages – Pueblos Blancos - and the town of Ronda. We’ll visit Zahara de la Sierra to learn about Spanish olive oil, Grazalema to taste cheese and then have a group lunch, and finally Ronda for a private tour with a local guide. Back at home, pack tonight for tomorrow’s transfer to Granada.

Day 7 - Monday, May 15: Cordoba (B, L, D)

After a leisurely breakfast this morning, we check out and say good-bye to lovely Seville at 10:00. On our way to Granada by private mini-coach, we will stop in Córdoba to visit the Mezquita, a beautiful mosque/cathedral and World Heritage Site dating back to the 6th century. Lunch here will be with the group, then we’ll head to Granada to check in at our hotel in the Albaycin ( https://www.sercotelpalaciogamboa.com ) before a group dinner tonight at 8:30.

Day 8 - Tuesday, May 16: Touring Cordoba (B, D)

As early as possible to beat the crowds, we’ll be up to take a private tour of the Alhambra, a palace/fortress originally built in 900 A.D. You will be enthralled by the mosaics and carved stucco decoration at this UNESCO World Heritage Site dominating the Albaycin district of Granada. After the tour, enjoy the rest of the day free.

Day 9 - Wednesday, May 17: Granada (B, D)

After breakfast today, our guide will lead us on a panoramic walking tour of Granada visiting the Albaycin and climbing up to San Nicolás for views across to the Alhambra. For our farewell dinner tonight, we’ll dine in a local restaurant and reflect on our wonderful week in Andalucia. Packing tonight!

Day 10 - Thursday, May 18: Tour ends after breakfast (B)

After breakfast, we’ll check out and go our separate ways: home? Madrid? Barcelona? Malaga? Depending on your plans, we may be able to share transportation to the train station or airport.
